This is a package of two TLR 8X collets which are thinner than the AE RC8B3.1 4 shoe collets.
The thinner 8X collet allows for more clearance between the face of the clutch bell and the spur gear.
The AE RC8B3.1 4 shoe collet is thicker and generally requires fewer clutch shims.
Other collets may work, but you may need to use shims to get the correct clutch bell spacing and end play.
